In 2022, shortly after completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences of Arts, my heart was overwhelmed with gratitude upon being successful in completing my studies from a country whereby a good number of the population is underprivileged and as a result many are unable to accomplish most of their dreams in life which are not only related to studies but as well as those pertaining to different aspects of life like talents, business etc.

During a conversation with a friend of mine, we came up with an idea to give back to our community annually with our specific target being the various classes of underprivileged people in our communities and the donations would come from our personal savings together with those people of the same mind like ours. This was looked at as one of the approaches that could be used to tackle the challenges at hand thereby raising awareness among the relevant departments in the country and the citizens to be inspired to do better in order to affect our community positively.

The name KJN is derived from the values of our organisation which is:

Through this charity idea, I was able to co-found the Hugs and Kisses Initiative which was later named KJN Eleemosynary Initiative Uganda Limited up to date.
