On 6th December 2025, KJN Eleemosynary Initiative Uganda Limited successfully conducted its 4th Annual Charity Outreach at Feasible City Children’s Orphanage, located in Kakiri, Wakiso District, Uganda.
In preparation for this outreach, our team carried out a needs-assessment visit to the orphanage and established that it has been in existence for over seven years, having been founded by a young Ugandan philanthropist driven by a deep passion for uplifting underprivileged children. The orphanage is home to approximately 30 children aged between 5 and 17 years.
Despite its noble mission, the orphanage continues to face numerous challenges. These include inadequate staffing, insufficient accommodation, with boys and girls currently sharing sleeping spaces due to incomplete dormitory facilities, and poor sanitation, which has contributed to recurring illnesses among the children. Additionally, the orphanage lacks access to safe and clean drinking water, relying instead on water drawn from a nearby well whose safety cannot be guaranteed. Other pressing concerns identified include the lack of essential sanitary supplies, particularly for menstruating girls, and limited access to healthcare services.
In response to these challenges, KJN Eleemosynary Initiative Uganda Limited, with the generous support of our private partners in Germany, well-wishers from across the globe, and supporters here in Uganda, successfully raised approximately €756 (equivalent to about UGX 3,120,000).
Through these funds, we were able to implement several impactful interventions aimed at improving the welfare, dignity, and comfort of the children. These activities included the painting of the entire newly constructed building at the orphanage to create a more welcoming and supportive living environment, the provision of essential food supplies, hygiene items such as sanitary pads, educational materials including exercise books, and bedding supplies. This outreach reflects our continued commitment to standing with vulnerable children and ensuring they grow up in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. We remain deeply grateful to all our partners and donors whose generosity made this initiative a success.
